Money vs Love

In the game of Love and Money, who will really prevail? What will you choose? LOVE is the most wonderful gift that God has given to us or MONEY that will lead you in different places, perspectives and power. These are certain issues we're facing every day especially that money overrule love because practicality comes first. For example, if a woman falls in love with a man, she'll critically think first if the man has a penny before she commits with the man who is wooing her. Reality check, we're facing an economic crisis right now and it's a given fact if a person will think financial matters first instead of giving genuine love to their partners. I'm not saying this generally to all the people, I'm just basing this on the kind of society we have today. Do you believe that money is the root of all evil? That's what many people say because a person can kill or harm others for the sake of money and power. Why just can't we settle on the saying that love makes the world go round instead of laying on a bed of money with an unclear conscience? We can't even bring money to heaven or in hell once we perish here on earth. I'm not underestimating money here, we need it in our everyday needs, the reason for our survival. But love will take you in many ways that money can't do. Spread the genuineness of love to everyone and you'll be richer than any other wealthy people that have lots of money but no love after all.

Remembering my Tatay...

My Nanay and I went to Himlayan Cemetery to visit my Tatay’s grave in remembering his 14th death anniversary. August 29 is the exact date of Tatay’s death anniversary but due to household chores that Nanay and I usually do every weekend, we decided to visit Tatay the following day (August 30, 2010). Yes, it’s been 14 long years that our Tatay left us due to lung cancer but his presence in our lives still lingers on. I was nine 9 years old when he passed away but the memories I’ve shared with my father are still very vivid and unforgettable. I considered my Nanay as the soft-spoken in our family while my Tatay was the disciplinarian. Though my father has a strong personality, I was never scared of him because I know that in his strong character, a good and loving father is what he really portrayed. I heard a lot of good comments about my father that most of our relatives liked him. They’ve said that my father was well-loved by everybody because of his character. Yes, he’s strict, but...

Disturbed but Inspired

I've been emotionally disturbed these past few weeks and I can't focus on my work because of this turmoil. This feeling started when I realized that I'm not happy with my work anymore because I'm used to the same old tales in the office. I'm looking for a new environment, new challenges and new kinds of stuff. I'm not against with my colleagues there, they are all my friends but as for me, I want to tend my resignation because I feel that I'm not enjoying anymore and I'm so frustrated that until now, the course that I took when I was in college, (which is Broadcast Communication) is still an elusive dream for me to work in a Network Station or Advertising Company. Yes, I've tried to applied there before, but the results are still pending. I'm not trying to sound sour grasping here, I just want to use my course in every work I'm going to because I didn't take Broadcast Communication for nothing. I have this dream that someday I'll be ...

Halcyon days in Palawan

It’s been a year since my friends and I planned to have a vacation trip to Puerto Prinsesa in Palawan . Then last May of this year, we availed the nine promo tickets from Air Philippines that only cost 700+php back and forth (Manila to Palawan/ Palawan to Manila).  Our departure was Sept. 23-29, 2010 and we were pretty excited for this trip because all of us were first-timers to visit the beautiful province of Palawan. Months have passed but three of my friends were not allowed to take a vacation leave at their work and some of them weren’t also allowed by their parents. So we’re only six in the group and still, we decided to push this one through.  Palawan is such a wonderful place and I can’t refuse this chance of a lifetime of visiting the province they called the Last Frontier . I heard a lot of good comments and reviews about Palawan and I can’t wait to see and experience it for myself.   ( Credits: google.com for this image ) We arrived there at three o’clo...
