Sabel: The Beautiful Damsel

One and a half day to go and we will say goodbye November, then people all over the globe will be celebrating the yuletide season on 25th day of December. So before I write any Christmas related stuff here, I just want to make a special page or post to my showbiz crush, Jessy Mendiola.

I started to like this 'it girl' when I first saw her in Avon brochure and BINGO biscuit commercial. Her flawless skin, beautiful smile and personality caught me awestruck and I suddenly fell in love with her. That admiration grew when I saw her up close and personal in Trinoma and took a picture together.

Jessy and I (Excuse my haggardness. Hehe)

She was so nice and I can honestly say that her kindness is genuine because I didn't felt any pretensions from this beautiful damsel. I just hope that I'll see her again very soon and take more pictures of her.

Anyway, Jessy Mendiola will finally lead on her first ever teleserye in ABS-CBN entitled Sabel. I just hope that this series will set Jessy into full blast stardom.

She's so damn lovely! ;)

Halcyon days in Palawan

It’s been a year since my friends and I planned to have a vacation trip to Puerto Prinsesa in Palawan . Then last May of this year, we availed the nine promo tickets from Air Philippines that only cost 700+php back and forth (Manila to Palawan/ Palawan to Manila).  Our departure was Sept. 23-29, 2010 and we were pretty excited for this trip because all of us were first-timers to visit the beautiful province of Palawan. Months have passed but three of my friends were not allowed to take a vacation leave at their work and some of them weren’t also allowed by their parents. So we’re only six in the group and still, we decided to push this one through.  Palawan is such a wonderful place and I can’t refuse this chance of a lifetime of visiting the province they called the Last Frontier . I heard a lot of good comments and reviews about Palawan and I can’t wait to see and experience it for myself.   ( Credits: google.com for this image ) We arrived there at three o’clo...

Resist Their Attempts to “Ground” You: Embrace Your Wicked Self

If you've spent your life as a misunderstood outcast and always challenged traditional notions of good and evil, yet you are still an empathetic and deeply compassionate soul, you are a variant of "Elphaba Thropp." Wicked is based on the Broadway musical, story of the Witches of Oz: Glinda the Good and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of The West was originally adapted from a novel, The Wizard of Oz , but reimagined. Both witches explore their complex friendship until some twist of events leads to Elphi’s vilification. Wicked is a beloved work of art for a dear friend of mine, who has shared how it profoundly changed his life and perspectives. When he encouraged me to watch the movie, I agreed, even though I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. The strength of the movie lies in the performances of the lead actors -- the chemistry between Ariana Grande (Galinda/Glinda) and Cynthia Erivo (Elphaba/Elphi) serves as the emotional core of the story. The visuals and produ...

From Silence to Sharing -- My Unconventional Journey and Prioritizing Mental Health

Writing has never been my strong suit. At most times, I grappled with writing slump and the distractions that life unfailingly presents.  But today, before the Year 2023 closes its chapter  (Kathniel yarn? lol),  I'm courageously sharing a piece of my life. A little nervous, but also empowered, as only a few are aware of this.  I used to keep everything inside, but now I'm opening up, and I hope this can help someone else going through a tough time like I did. Life can be tough, especially when you've lost someone, but I want to encourage others to find their strength and keep going, no matter what. STORYTIME:   I had only worked for just  eight months in my former company when they offered me an overseas opportunity during the pandemic's peak. Uncertainty loomed, but my mom's  (BesNay)  contagious enthusiasm encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. However, life paints a complex picture. I faced the heart-wrenching loss of my mother wh...
