Just so you know...

Hey, what's been up people?  It's been ages since I managed to update this prosaic blog of mine.  I've been too busy with my work, house chores and some matters that I should not divulge here. :D  I just took a glimpse here to see if there are any changes and notifications and I hope that on my next agenda, I'll tell you my new adventures and other stuff.   Bye for now, see/ blog you all next time. ;)

Suddenly it's magic!

Just got my blog title from one of the songs I've heard just a moment ago. How will you know if you're in a magical moment? Do you feel any butterflies in your tummy, birds flying all over your head (I'm not pertaining to a headbang here. :D) Or your heart just keeps on beating faster because you're with someone special? You'll feel a magical feeling once you notice that you're smiling without any further reason. But sometimes I oppose that thought because, for every smile, love and pain, there are reasons that sometimes lead to that feeling. Whether it's magical or not, the feeling inside of you is still inevitable. But how about the magic of love? How will you know if the stupid cupid hit you with his love arrow? Then you'll never know that the magic I'm talking about is right on your way, right through your heart. As for my own side coin, I feel the magic once I'm with my family, special friends and colleagues. They make me feel special on ...

Thank you 2011. Hooray for 2012!

Man. Where do I start? It's been, what, 3 months since my last post here. There’s no excuse for that. Especially when you want to be dedicated to writing. This e-journal is unfailingly in the back of my personality calling for me and I can’t identify the chance to write due to some reasons: work and sometimes, a bit of writer's block. At least it's a holiday today so I have the reason and topic to write hereon! :D (image credits: google.com) In just a few hours, we will finally bid adieu on this year of the metal rabbit (2011) and we're going to wave the fire of the dragon tomorrow (2012). Let's keep our hopes high that our lives will be more meaningful and prosperous in the coming days. Our plans and expectations might sometimes fail but we should not lose the attitude of moving forward. Feliz Navidad everyone! :)

Writer's block and Thy Brother's Wife

It is a condition where writers whether professional or not, is losing their capabilities to write or produce new work. Maybe they're running out of inspiration, no good topic to discuss with or they might have something to be done beforehand. Though I'm a so-so writer, I feel that I have this condition because the last post I wrote here was about six months ago ( 25th EDSA 1 anniversary ) already. My birthday had already passed by too but I wasn't able to blog it out because I cannot sum up the words all the things I want to say. Well with these past months of my blog shut down, I did some pocketbook hopping where I borrowed some books from my mother in their school library. I had just finished reading Thy Brother's Wife by Andrew Greeley and the story was quite okay. This secular novel is about adultery, incest and sacrilege and Father Andrew (yes, he's a priest for real) was stouthearted enough to divulge all these against-the-church stuff. The gist of the...

Memoirs of the so-called THE PAST

Today, February 25, 2011. A day that most of us, Filipinos, are solemnize by the 25th anniversary of EDSA People Power 1. I know that memories are still vivid to those who participated in this bloodless revolution that ended Marcos regime. I wasn't born yet when EDSA 1 happened but I know some of the insights of this history through watching some news clips from TV programs and browsing some EDSA 1 articles on the Internet. I saw some pictures of nuns who have the guts to face the huge tank in front of them while holding their rosaries, students who skipped to their classes, poor and riches individuals who flocked to EDSA and collided as one. Emotions were high at that time and all they wanted was to ouster an abusive leader. The battle cry was: TAMA NA, SOBRA NA, TAPUSIN NA! Change the system and enough greediness and corruption in the political arena. While watching those EDSA 1 scenarios and asking my Nanay some questions about it, I even asked myself if we totally obtai...

(Image Credits: http://uniqueyenmei.blogspot.com ) We are now in the last week of January 2011 and finally, I'll be writing my new post for this Year of the Metal Rabbit. How's your new year, guys? I know it's a little bit of late in greeting you all only this time, but hey! It's still the new year, anyway!  Well, my celebration of the new year was pretty awesome because I had the chance to goofed and played along with my family, cousins and other relatives. I must say that celebrating the new year is one of the best occasion we have because this is the season that we reminisced on all the things we've done in the past year and at the same time hoping for the best next year to come. As of press time, a lot of things are juggling in my mind right now just like what will be my future holds this 2011, my soon-to-be decisions and above all, how can I handle pressures and other surprises that will surely come along the way? Then I look back in 2010 and realized tha...
